Saturdays should always be for relaxation and exploration

Sawasdee ka! Today was a long, but *wonderful* day (so much so that I snuck in 2 short naps!)

The highlight of the day was definitely the Thai cooking class we attended. It was located in a beautiful rural area with their own scenic and of course functional garden. Everything that we prepared was from their gardens. Throughout the day we made 5 different dishes all from scratxh, and were able to walk away with a detailed cookbook afterwards. The chefs were entertaining and helpful, and it was overall an experience not to miss. So far my favorite leisure activity on the trip by far!!

The choices of things to make. Pick one from each column!

Beautiful lounge area during our breaks.

Entertaining last page of our cookbook :)

In the evening, we ventured to the Saturday night market a few blocks away. It was very very crowded, so I didn't take any pictures of the booths (you do have to be mindful of pick pocketers). However, I did buy a light cotton shirt for our temple visit tomorrow, so I attached the picture of it below. It is so soft and light!!

Coming back from the markets, we hopped in this big truck like taxi for only 200 baht ($6.50 ish). Definitely a tight squeeze!
