Today we started our day off by going to another really cool temple. Upon arrival we were able to ascend a very steep staircase which brought us to the actual temple grounds. Along the way there were many little shops selling a lot of different items, food, and flowers. Once we got up to the top we were able to go inside and look all around the temple. A lot of u were able to go inside one of the temple buildings, and get blessed by a monk. The monk would pray for us while we were on our knees in front of him, where a white bracelet was tied around our wrists, and he used bamboo reeds to splash water on us!

Once we left the temple we went to lunch! We visited an amazing restaurant that had a small little pond with stone elephants, lions, tigers, and gorillas surrounding it. I was able to order Khao Soi, one of my new favorite Thai meals, and one that I learned how to cook myself in our cooking class the day before!
After lunch, we went to a few different stores/shops. The first was an umbrella/painting store. We were all able to get hand made paintings done in front of us on things like our backpacks, phone cases, and wallets!
Next we went to a silk shop where we saw the process of how silk is made using the silkworms, and machinery used once its harvested. They had a very nice store attached, where they had incredible clothing made entirely out of silk!
After the silk shop we went to a jewellery store. The girls found a lot of nice silver and rings that matched their birthstone; unfortunately we weren't able to put our bartering skills to work here, as everything was a set price.
Next we went to a lacquer store, where they had amazing items designed with 100% 24k karat gold.
