Elephant rides and show

Today we drove about an hour south to visit the Thai Elephant Conservation Center. First the elephants took a bath in the water and had a little play time.
All of the elephants getting a bath before their show.
This elephant was playing while taking a bath and almost sprayed us all.

After bathing the elephants had a little parade up to where there was a small theatre to put on a show. During the parade there were two elephants that were holding a drum while another elephant was actually playing the drum. This was pretty impressive they are quite talented.

Then the speaker explained how the elephants how the elephants used to be used for logging.

Toward the end of the show they brought out paint and easel for 3 elephants to paint a picture in front of us. I was amazed how well they did.
Here is the finished products from the 3 elephants! Pretty good!
During the show the elephants showed us how they take their naps by all laying on the ground. So cute!

Once the show was done it was time to ride the elephants. Let me tell you that it was a bumpy ride. They took us right through the water and through a trail in the forest. It was a very cool experience.
Miranda and Tiffany on their elephant ride.
Marina and Jenny had an interesting start to their ride when their elephant decided to have a snack before it went into the water. It took down a part of the tree!
